Novices driving mini excavators should pay attention to safety matters

Novices are required to learn, and safety precautions should be paid attention to when driving a Mini Excavator. It is particularly important when the footsteps of spring are getting farther and the footsteps of summer are getting closer. It is really hard for the micro excavator operators to work in the field. In the face of the scorching heat, it is especially difficult for us new operators to adapt to this environment. It is inevitable that the operators will be a little restless, but they are also helpless. Calm down, efficient and safe work is what we should care about. So how can we work safely? How do novice mini excavators operate to ensure safety? What are the safety precautions that should be paid attention to when driving mini excavators? Next, I will take you to understand some safety matters in the daily operation of micro excavators, and hope to bring you some help in the future!

First of all, to get on and off the mini excavator, you must hold the handrails and the pedals well, and you can't jump up and down directly. Check the correct location of underground facilities and gas pipelines before operation, and be careful to ensure that these facilities and equipment are not damaged during construction. Before starting the mini excavator, you should sound the whistle to indicate that others are about to start work, especially children, and do not let them appear in the excavator work site. When the mini excavator is started, it should not be half-hearted, and be careful with the personnel in the field.

Then you must be extra careful when working near power lines, as the visibility inside the cab is limited so that a colleague can help you navigate from a safe distance. Here is a simple table that tells you the relationship between voltage and safety distance.

Voltage (kV): 6.6 /33.0/ 66.0 /154.0 /275.0

Safe distance (m): 3 /4 /5 /8 /10

When working in a narrow field or a field with many obstacles, additional slewing space monitoring is required, so that a colleague can direct the operation not far away from the field. When excavating the trench wall, be careful of loose large pieces of soil and stones, and take certain protective measures on the top of the machine when necessary, and the operator must remember to wear a safety helmet.

When the operator is excavating on very soft ground, it is a good way to reinforce the edge and pad a large enough board. It is also necessary to fix the crawler drive on the side of the excavator far from the edge. Do not do this for micro excavators. Work that exceeds the lifting weight.

It is quite dangerous for a crawler mini excavator to work on a very steep slope, especially to avoid working on a slope of more than 10 degrees, so it is necessary to construct a horizontal surface before continuing to work. Do not do the rotation of the digging arm on the slope to prevent the fuselage from being unstable and tipping over due to the change of the center of gravity. Especially when the bucket is fully loaded, the bucket should not leave the slope surface. If conditions permit, you can do a good job of fixing the fuselage on the slope.

Be sure to avoid the mini excavator walking laterally on the slope, which is easy to lose stability and tip over. The mini excavator is also very dangerous when going downhill, so remember to lower the bucket 20-30 cm above the ground, parallel to the slope, operate the mini excavator downhill at a slow speed, and let the bucket go first when the slope drops sharply The ground support acts as a brake. When walking on an uneven site, you must slow down slowly. When you have to pass the water surface, or when you have to work in the water, you must ensure that the water surface cannot exceed the height of the micro excavator crawler.

Summary: There are actually quite a lot of safety precautions that beginners should pay attention to when opening mini excavators. In addition to strictly following the operating specifications, the operator should also remember that when operating the mini excavator in a closed space, he must pay attention to ventilation to avoid being poisoned by the machine engine or inhaling too much dust. According to different working conditions and different environments, use the mini excavator reasonably and safely to ensure the safety of your personal and property.
